Violent or abusive behaviour – Zero Tolerance

We take seriously any threatening, abusive or violent behaviour against any of our staff or patients.

If a patient is violent or abusive or is causing damage, they will be reported to the police and referred to the Zero Tolerance Scheme.

If accepted, patients on the Zero Tolerance Scheme will be seen by Taurus Healthcare in Hereford and are accompanied by security personnel at each appointment, which must be pre-arranged.  Such patients will remain on our patient list but cannot be seen at the Surgery.

If a patient is discharged from the Zero Tolerance Scheme, they will revert to being able to be seen by our staff.  However, if aggressive or abusive behaviour is repeated, we may exercise our right to have them re-referred to the Zero Tolerance Scheme or removed, immediately if necessary, from our list of patients.
