Cervical screening

The current national policy is to invite all women between the ages of 25 and 50 for a cervical smear test every three years, and the over 50s every five years. This group of women will receive an invitation from the Worcestershire Support Services Agency, who also send out the smear results with any recommendations on further treatment. Cervical smears are usually carried out by a practice nurse, but if you would like to see a female doctor, you may do so.
